Once I register, what comes next?
You need to fill in your profile. Registering doesn’t help you get discovered or find a job. Having a completely filled out profile with smart photos, a great bio, and working external links to your professional social media sites will.
How can I get discovered the fastest?
Please fill out all of the fields, include your cover and profile photos that help reflect who you are, include your CV file, include your web link to LinkedIn and other active professional social media sites. Do not use poor grammar, do not include web links to unprofessional social media pages.
Can employers find me with dynamic searching capabilities?
Yes, that’s a huge advantage of this site, and why it is critical to fill out all the profile fields.
What is a CV file?
CV is an abbreviation for Curriculum Vitae. If a job advertisement asks for a CV, that’s a hint that the employer expects a great deal of life experience and accomplishments, including education, original research, presentations you’ve given and papers or books you’ve had published. You can also load a resume if you don’t have a CV.
What is the difference between a CV and a resume?
Both a CV and a resume are documents that help a job applicant provide critical information to help a potential employer learn about the person applying’s job history and professional qualifications, however a CV is typically much more detailed than a resume. The CV file typically has more detail in descriptions, to provide more thorough details and give more insight to how a new employer will benefit from the skills/development you acquired in previous activities, trainings or on the job experience.
