What are we looking for?

We have a great opportunity for a Account Development Manager to be based in Bracknell, England supporting our Sensing, Internet of Things sales function in the UK & Ireland.

What will you be doing?

  • You will identify growth potential and new business opportunities with target OEM accounts inside the defined sales territory.
  • The main task is the development and successful closure of business opportunities according our SIoT strategy to achieve long-lasting, sustainable and profitable growth.
  • Deliver and contribute to the Regional Annual Operating Plan
  • You will develop and continuously expands the relationship with our OEM customers to position SIoT as a leading supplier for sensing and switching products and understands the customer requirements which he turns into attractive/competitive product offerings.
  • Lead and close New Business Opportunities within these accounts in line with defined growth targets
  • Team up with the local sales team and coordinate joint sales calls/business development activities
  • Set up a world-class Operating System (OS) handling existing business and opportunities
  • Develop an effective interface between customer needs (direct or indirect), the respective Product Management team and the Sales Management and Administration.

You have

  • Degree is not essential, although preferable, more so expert based in technical sales
  • Experience in selling technical products
  • Understanding of the sales function, and supporting sales process
  • Strong communicator, with a high level of interpersonal skills, ability to present to audiences of all levels.
  • Business to Business within a Manufacturing/ OEM environment
  • Fluent in English language both oral and written and any additional foreign language is beneficial.
  • You have very good skills in the use of Office tools
  • Ambitious, self-motivated, hardworking, results orientated, problem solver with a positive outlook and a clear focus on driving profit.
  • Balanced between short term achievement and long term development.
  • Experience in working with process to get the necessary approvals related to the sales activity.
  • Someone who can demonstrate and articulate the difference between good and bad business opportunities.
  • A natural forward planner who critically assesses their own performance.

We value

  • Experience of working within a Software development company is helpful
  • Experience working with multi-national companies, especially within a virtual team environment
  • Technical knowledge and application Know How in one or more of the following market segments: Industrial Automation, Aerospace, Medical Equipment and/or Transportation
  • You ideally have experience in working with CRM-Tools – i.e. Salesforce.com on a regular basis.
  • Additional languages helpful
