Seeking a dynamic accounting professional with the capacity to lead a team of 30-plus accounting staff members (8 direct reports), for our San Jose based construction company. CEI Inc., is a highly profitable electrical contractor with over 1 billion dollars in annual revenue, currently operating in 8 states across the U.S. This high visibility, high impact position reports directly to the VP of Finance.

Responsibilities include:
• Oversee the operations in the accounting shared services departments which include accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable, payroll and potentially others.
• Drive process improvement initiatives and foster a customer service culture, including reporting on KPIs and communications with stakeholders.
• Create partnerships and build trust within the business, including Operations, Purchasing, IT, etc. Participate in cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives.
• Responsible for personnel management activities such as: personnel actions (hiring, promotions, transfers, etc.), training and development, providing regular direction and feedback on performance, disciplinary actions and preparing and delivering annual performance and salary reviews.
• Develop short- and long-range operating objectives, organizational structure, staffing requirements and succession plans.
• Ensure process documentation and internal controls are incompliance with company policies and supports statutory compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Develop and oversee the implementation of departmental training programs, including orientation materials and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Assist with the implementation of ERP upgrades and other systematic improvements.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

The following are minimum qualifications for this position:
 Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA a plus
 Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive management and leadership experience, including several years managing the accounting functions for a global or regional shared service center. Must have verifiable experience managing a group of 10 or more accounting -finance staff
• Soft Skills: Comfortable with embracing what is working, while developing innovative solutions for current challenges. Ability to lead by example, manage, motivate and relate to a diverse team with a wide range of education and experience.
