Amazon JP Social Media Manager

DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking a Social Media Manager to lead our fast growing presence in social media channels for Amazon’s retail services (Prime, Video, Fashion, etc.) and device brands (Fire TV, Kindle, Echo, etc.) in Japan. This role is a part of the local advertising team based in Tokyo with reporting responsibilities back into the Global headquarters in Seattle.

Organic Social
Your focus will be to develop and guide Amazon’s social voice (content and process) across platforms and business lines. As the direct to consumer “voice of Amazon in Japan,” you will collaborate closely with global stakeholders to develop the playbook and then with local leadership and PR/marketing to execute. You will be the SME with the experience and conviction required to move the needle for Amazon.

Paid Social
Your focus will be on social media planning, buying, optimization, and performance analysis to help determine the optimal channel mix for evergreen and limited duration campaigns. You will be responsible for managing media agencies in close collaboration with global and local marketing teams to establish and implement best practice on-time and on-budget across multiple campaigns and business initiatives.
As Amazon’s Social Media Manager, you’ll deliver mass social campaigns by:
· Acting as the primary social media contact for external platforms and Amazon’s agencies in Japan
· Working with senior management to produce impactful and cost-effective media plans
· Developing test and learn scenarios to continue to innovate and expand media mix
· Managing budgets and timelines for media programs; preparing forecasts
· Monitoring and analyzing key media buy metrics (CPP, CPM, CPC, etc.)
· Working alongside the global advertising and social planning team on regional/global projects

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 7+ years relevant professional experience in social strategy and social media planning and buying
· In-depth understanding of the latest global social media principles, planning and buying strategies
· Strong knowledge of media research, trafficking, reporting, techniques and technologies
· Ability to juggle multiple priorities and excel in a lean work environment
· Ability to write creative briefs and work with tight deadlines
· Self-motivated and comfortable working independently

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience working in a multi-layered global environment
· Client and agency side experience
· Bilingual English and Japanese
