The Operations Finance team supports the AR/VR Operations team, which is responsible for Sourcing, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Post-Sales services for our entire portfolio of products across Oculus and Portal. We focus on helping the Operations team to optimize performance across products and manage all expenses. Successful candidates for this team have a bias towards action, exceptional partnership and communication skills, and know-how to balance getting the details right while still moving fast.
You will join the team that manages the finances for AR/VR, Facebook’s consumer hardware group, which includes Oculus and Portal and plans to release multiple products over the next few years. As a Finance Manager at AR/VR, you’ll partner with the Technology Operations group to evaluate opportunities for investment in manufacturing capabilities and build financial tools for decision making. You’ll also be in charge of Financial Planning & Analysis for the whole Fixed Investment across the Operations group, including HC, OPEX and CAPEX.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partner with Tech Ops team to provide hands-on analytic support and develop actionable insights to manage investments.
  • Provide financial leadership across planning, budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning for HC, Opex and Capex.
  • Establish and enforce expenditure policy for all groups.
  • Develop decision frameworks for capacity planning.
  • Help define and implement scalable financial processes related to month-end and quarter-end close, including accruals and reporting.
  • Benchmark investments across our product portfolio.
  • Provide insights to business partners through variance analysis, forecasting and budgeting processes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10+ years of experience in finance or similar work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience developing analytical frameworks and communicating financial concepts to leadership
  • Experience partnering with and influencing cross-functional leaders
  • Experience building financial models in Excel
  • Experience with PowerPoint, Oracle and Hyperion
  • Experience working with leadership
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with hardware development process
  • Understanding of hardware manufacturing process
  • MBA
  • Exposure to large scale product development
  • Experience in accounting concepts and financial planning
