PURPOSE: The primary focus of Product Management is to develop and implement product line strategies that meet current and future market needs and achieve profitability/growth objectives.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take ownership for the timely release of new growth projects and speed to market initiatives
  • The primary point of contact / subject matter expert for the Product & Project managers who are supporting your product group(s) and projects
  • Develop product line business assessments, market trends, strategy development, AOP volumes, competitive position, development of product road map and AOP action plans
  • Assist in developing strategic sourcing and manufacturing strategy, based on global product requirements.
  • Assist in defining product launch strategies, including timing, forecast volumes, target markets, and key customers
  • Ongoing, daily product line maintenance including new part number additions, obsolete and supersessions, PIM maintenance (descriptions, data corrections, etc.)
  • Maintain / update product popularity lists
  • Maintain / update product lifecycle codes
  • Maintain / update competitive cross reference data; ensure alignment with pricing team
  • Insure data feed to ERP / PIM / Pricing systems is complete and accurate
  • Perform data analysis on product line trends
  • Work with Engineering, Marketing, Supply Chain, and other functions to support all aspects of product development
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree Preferred in Business Administration or Engineering
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of aftermarket product planning experience
  • Experience with SAP, PIMS, etc. considered a plus
  • Understanding of the CV or LV market and Dana’s products is preferred; prior experience in the CV or LV aftermarket a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time as needed with the ability to work non-traditional business hours
