The Business Analyst will work with the SAP COE team to define technical specifications & requirements to meet the business process, data needs, and approve application code changes ensuring high-quality functional results and stable IT systems with minimal impact to business processes.  The responsibilities include identifying, recommending, and implementation of ideas to improve the information management and business analytics usage through the assessment of current system capabilities and identifying high-level customer requirements.  As well as, explore, learn, and develop educational materials and programs to further the usage of analytics toolsets throughout the organization.   The BA responds to and diagnoses system, process, and data issues through discussions with business users and internal IT service teams and is responsible for leveraging resources across the organization to provide resolution.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with customers
  • Supports SAP Material Management area in the use and optimization of SAP
  • Participates in SAP Implementations within our Dana Facilities
  • Defines and gathers requirements for enhancements and implementations within the SAP MM Module
  • Develops the functional specifications of new and changed processes
  • Ensures all system processes, customizations, and configurations meet quality standards
  • Works with developers and technical staff to implement functional specifications and resolve any issues with SAP MM Module
  • Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported, and resolved in a timely manner
    Education and/or Experience:
    Education
    Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical discipline required or may consider equivalent 6-8 years related professional experience
    Experience
  • 5+ years related professional experience
  • Implementation and application support experience within SAP Material Management Module
  • SAP Sales and Distribution, MES, EDI, and Loftware knowledge a plus
  • Language Skills
  • English (fluency in reading, writing and speaking)
