PURPOSE:  The Content Analyst is responsible for activities related to product information and application data management and distribution. The Content Analyst provides catalog support related to, but not limited to, paper cataloging, digital content, data requirements and strategic initiatives. They must also maintain data quality, customer relations, and have industry knowledge. The Content Analyst will also be required to maintain competency in the automotive aftermarket and customer specific data standards.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to team by updating product information and application data change requests as needed including research application information to identify gaps in coverage
  • Work closely with other functional teams in relation to product information and application data needs
  • Adhere to distribution schedules for product information and application data in conjunction with established timelines
  • Receive publication requests from company and customer personnel; analyze requests to determine requirements
  • Ensure that customer product information and application data audits and file rejections are responded to in a timely manner
  • Help to improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency, and output
  • Maintain expertise in product information and application data best practices, industry standards (ACES and PIES) and customer & market specific formats
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and automotive aftermarket industry events (as required); reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices
  • Support application gap reporting on key categories
  • Support and execute E-Commerce enhancement initiatives
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required
  • 3-5 years in the area of content or data management preferred
  • Previous experience in the Automotive Aftermarket is preferred, particularly in the area of automotive parts, catalog or data management
  • Working knowledge of Automotive Aftermarket content best practices and standards is preferred (ACES, PIES and Digital Assets)                                                          

 

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required
  • Experienced in Automotive Aftermarket
  • Proficient technical skills in Microsoft Office; Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Proficient working knowledge of PIM or relational database systems
  • Ability to absorb, organize and analyze large amounts of information with the ability to extract key data
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Time management skills and able to prioritize activities
  • Strong analytical skills, organizational skills and proven aptitude for numbers
  • Passionate, energetic, with a desire to drive results
  • Ability to work under pressure, meeting multiple project deadlines is required
  • Uncompromising judgment towards confidentiality & business ethics
