GCS is a seeking a Change Management Coordinator to support enterprise-level change management (ChM) function based on Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) best practices. The scope of this position includes administering ChM processes and procedures to include coordination of requests for change, aiding in controlling the lifecycle of those changes, and serving as the Subject Matter Expert for ChM policies, processes, and procedures. Position is located in Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. 
Principal Responsibilities and Required Skills:

  • ChM subject matter expert with mastery of established ChM process and procedures, as well as inputs and outputs to/from ChM process and other integrating processes, and the ability to clearly communicate process requirements to customers and other stakeholders
  • Coordination with customers and other stakeholders to obtain required information and facilitate request for change processing
  • Adherence to standardized documentation, communication, reporting, monitoring, and audit requirements
  • Maintain change log, schedule, history, and documentation for network changes utilizing authorized tracking and documentation tools
  • Due diligence, prioritization and organization of tasks
  • Identification and assessment of potential impacts change may have on the organization and prioritizing accordingly
  • Execution of audience appropriate training
  • Apply continual improvement and communicate lessons learned to further improvements in policies, processes, and procedures
  • Facilitate board meetings and communications

The following are required for this position:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in information technology network operations
  • Understanding of network topology, devices, and systems/applications
  • ITIL Foundations Certification
  • Ability to understand and adhere to policies, processes, and procedures
  • Ability to execute adequate judgement on circumstances appropriate for independent decision making versus escalation to supervisor
  • Responsibility and accountability for assigned tasks, executing with appropriate sense of urgency
  • Proficient at timely, accurate, and concise documentation, facilitating quality work products in accordance with standardized processes and procedures
  • Change agility and ability to excel in coaching style environment, being receptive to feedback and demonstrating incorporation of feedback into performance
  • Willingness to travel with the military to locations throughout Southwest Asia, as required, to support the military customer at their location(s) via military air/land convoy
  • Ability to work in a bivouac environment
  • Ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner in difficult situations
  • Effective oral and written communication with a diverse group of customer/stakeholders
  • Excellent customer service skills and demeanor
  • Must possess an active DoD SECRET clearance

Desired Skills:

  • Good understanding of U.S. Military organizations
  • Experience with ITSM frameworks and ability to practically apply concepts
  • Experience with ChM automated tools – BMC Remedy ITSM ChM module preferred
  • Experience facilitating ChM meetings and implementing ITIL ChM processes
  • Network Operations Service Center (NOSC) Experience
  • Six Sigma Green Belt
  • CompTIA Security+
  • CompTIA Network+
  • PMP Certification
