Channel Field Marketing Advisor on our UK&I Marketing team in Bracknell.

Channel Marketing is, quite simply, at the heart of Dell’s global success. It’s a huge and far-reaching area – planning, developing and implementing programs for distributors, resellers, international promotions and marketing. Our expertise is integral to enhancing Dell’s presence at partner’s point of sales and increasing the rate of recommendation to customers. We’re also at the heart of customer and market insight, supporting Sales and Merchandising teams with recommendations about the latest trends and how best to reach the customer. And that’s not all – we’re instrumental in everything from sales forecasting to return on investment analysis.

Key Responsibilities

You will make a significant contribution to achieving our UK business goals by:

  • Understanding overall corporate business plans and programs as they apply to the channel
  • Building channel specific programs and promotions that meet Overall marketing, Channel Sales and Partner requirements
  • Interacting and meeting Channel Partners in the UK for joint business planning sessions in order to create and implement marketing plans and activities that increase our pipeline and meet revenue goals.
  • Leveraging the EMEA marketing resources and programs, and provides proactive feedback to the EMEA central marketing team
  • Working with key members of the Channel Sales teams to determine program requirements and test drive proposed program features and functions
  • Developing specific marketing programs and promotions including events, branding campaigns, digital and social media etc
  • Building marketing materials including sales briefs, marketing collateral, data sheets, playbooks, web media and sales presentations
  • Liaising with agencies to ensure deliverables are met

Essential Requirements

  • Knowledge of business and marketing strategy, concepts tools and techniques, including experience planning and delivering digital marketing, social media marketing, direct marketing, promotions, events, customer relations and advertising in the technological sector and with channel
  • Previous channel marketing experience
  • Strong ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams/work groups
  • Strong knowledge of business and marketing strategy, concepts, tools and techniques, including promotions, direct mail, digital, social media, customer relations and advertising
  • Strong project management ability + Basic presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of the market and customers business
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical ability and financial understanding

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires 5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3+ years with a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent experience
  • Preferred studies with a focus on Marketing and/or Economics
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
