Lexmark International is seeking a Chemical Engineer to join the engineering team to support its manufacturing processes in Boulder, Colorado. The successful candidate will have at least a BS in Chemical Engineering and 2-5 years relevant industrial work experience.
Duties will include:
- Daily Engineering support to a sophisticated, highly automated coating process
- Projects to improve quality, efficiency, and capacity
- Scale-up of new products
Required skills:
- Work well in a team, as well as individually
- Gather process data and analyze with statistical tools
- Conduct experiments, analyze data, and draw meaningful conclusions
- Identify process problems and develop creative solutions
- Develop P&IDs and other process drawings
- Good communication skills and ability to effectively interact with peers, contractors, management and process operators.
- Organize and effectively execute process and equipment changes
Desired Skills:
- DMAIC, A3, Six Sigma problem solving skills
- Practitioner of LEAN manufacturing principles
- Good computer skills – especially Excel and PowerPoint
