City Manager – Southend

About the role

You will be responsible for supporting Sales, Marketing and Commercial activities related to the launch of Vodafone Gigafast Broadband (FTTH) within the Southend area. The service will target Consumer customers in selected cities with an aggressive roll out plan and ambitious commercial targets.

As City Manager you will support the Marketing, Sales and Strategy plan for Gigafast Broadband, working across the business to understand future product developments, responsible for financial targets and performance metrics whilst driving sales engagement. You will be expected to lead the execution of key marketing activities across the marketing mix whilst driving Sales for Gigafast in Southend.

Key Accountabilities:

You are responsible for achieving the sales targets, across all channels, of Vodafone Gigafast Broadband in Southend.

Responsible for establishing, developing and leveraging city-level stakeholder relationships in order to support the roll-out and ongoing sales activities related to Gigafast Broadband. Examples of key stakeholders are; CityFibre (Network) Management Team, Council/Parish Administration, Local Businesses/Associations/Charities.

Overall accountability for the success and return on investment of targeted local and city-wide events to drive awareness. Responsible for the building of the events calendar in-line with marketing framework and management of local events budget.

Accountability for the creation of quarterly city sales plan and effective communication of progress & local insights gathered on-the-ground to central teams and other regions.

Working with Retail Store Managers to drive Gigafast sales through retail by upskilling retail staff on the Gigafast proposition, and implementation of tactical initiatives agreed centrally.

Responsible for proposing, implementing and delivering end-to-end sales campaigns as aligned with central marketing and commercial teams.

Key Skills and Experience:

– Previous direct sales experience at a Management level.
– Ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships (up to C-level)
– Excellent communication skills
– Competent in performance measurement and reporting against commercial KPIs
– Track record of developing and driving sales programmes for commercial return
