Facebook is looking for an experienced Corporate Communications Manager to lead our proactive and reactive projects in Middle East and North Africa as well as managing Communications for Turkey. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in corporate, consumer and product communications, crisis management, working with senior executives and will be able to balance handling a combination of breaking news and real time requests with managing strategic corporate projects and product announcements. The ability to combine strategy and flawless execution, ruthlessly prioritise and work on a number of projects at once will be essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the PR strategy, plans, programs and budgets based on brand image, sales objectives and company goals
  • Provide guidance and assistance in implementing PR strategies and programs to external agencies
  • Provide mentorship and support for business leaders
  • Work cross-functionally with product, platform, policy, business, marketing and other international PR team members on individual media opportunities and broader programs
  • Support brand/corporate reputation through crisis/issues effective management
  • Proactively identify and pitch stories that showcase Facebook’s culture and business
  • Prepare briefing materials and manage executive spokespeople
  • Educate press, bloggers, analysts and influencers about core Facebook products and initiatives
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Undergraduate or equivalent qualification is preferable
  • Strong communication skills
  • Solid professional experience, in communications or journalism
  • Deep media relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver multi-Country campaigns and projects through collaborative and multi-disciplinary teamwork
  • Expertise in managing people and teams
  • Expertise in managing PR agencies and contractors
  • Strong project management and decision-making skills
  • Superb English verbal and written communications skills.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English essential
