As a Computational Designer within the Highways Digital Delivery/BIM team, you will work with a multi-discipline team to deliver Highways projects in line with the Employer’s Information Requirements and the UK Government’s Level 2 BIM mandate. The broad scope of work will consist of Information Management, coordinating intelligent 3D Project Information Models, data analysis, and supporting BIM tools and standards and the project teams. Responsibilities
• Drive the development of Innovation and Automation within the Highways Digital Delivery space.
• Contribute to the development of various BIM processes, standards and systems.
• Represent the Highways Digital Delivery Team in wider Innovation initiatives across other teams and operating units within Jacobs.
• Work with our project teams to identify opportunities for efficiencies and improvements to workflows, processes and deliverables.
• Support the activities of the Highways Digital Delivery team.
• Information management, including assisting in maintaining the Common Data Environment.
• Ensuring the integrity and validation of the Project Information Model and asset data.
• Attending interdisciplinary design check meetings.
• Model progression management.
• Providing digital delivery related technical solutions.
• Providing input into and managing BIM related documentation.
• Supporting BIM tools, digital processes, and the project team.

Qualifications
Essential Criteria
• A degree or HND/HNC in a related subject.
• A proactive approach to health and safety and wellbeing.
• Strong computing skills and good understanding of data, information systems, rules-based design, visual programming and analytics.
• Ability to identify, plan, author and implement innovative and automated solutions.
• Good communication skills and capable of managing a challenging workload.
• Knowledge of infrastructure engineering design, systems and technology.
• Project production/delivery experience.
• Presentation/demonstration skills.
• Produce well-presented documentation of processes and workflows.
• Excellent analytical, technical and IT skills.
• Positive attitude and a passion for driving change and efficiencies.
Desirable Criteria
• Knowledge of Level 2 BIM standards.
• Familiarity with the benefits, uses and the impact of BIM on a project.
• Experience of design and coordination tools and document management systems.
• Highways experience preferred but not essential.
• Experience in programming and scripting languages, such as VBA, .NET, Python, Javascript, PML, C#.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, AVEVA Engineering, Rhino, Grasshopper, Python, Dynamo.
• Experience of using GIS.
