Position Purpose:
The Construction Project Representative will be in our Petco San Antonio, TX office. The successful candidate will be providing construction support to ensure new stores, expansions and remodels are completed within the designated timelines and learnings from them are captured for evaluation and possible inclusion in future projects.
Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities: The incumbent must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilitieswith or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Assisting in the development, maintenance and distribution of the project schedule with input from the Construction Managers
- Coordinating the flow of information related to construction documents, permitting, RFIs, submittals and approvals during the Construction Process
- Compiling and analyzing project data for the benefit of the Construction Team
- Maintaining budgeting and cost information and reconciling capital expenditures associated with Construction Projects
- Updating store information in connection with construction projects
- Performing administrative support functions for the Directors and Construction Managers
- Assisting with the resolution of issues which arise during pre-construction, construction and post-construction
- Engaging with vendors and contractors to obtain quotes and assist in the purchasing/contracting and invoicing process
- Reviewing lease requirements and working with internal and external stakeholders to secure the necessary approvals in a timely fashion
- Communicating Petco’s requirements for GCs and reviewing applications for compliance
- Working with GCs to obtain their schedules and confirm alignment with other vendors and project activities
- Preparing bid documents and reviewing for bids submitted for compliance
- Compiling and reviewing GC contract packages for completeness and accuracy and obtaining the
- necessary approvals
- Reviewing progress billings, change orders and construction documents for accuracy and compliance
- Tracking applications for payment and lien waivers through the approval and payment stages
- Arranging for staged deliveries and resolving problems with scheduling
- Assisting Construction Managers with administrative tasks and project support documents and
- punch list updates
- Obtaining required documentation to facilitate timely payment of Tenant Improvement Allowances
- Facilitating project scheduling meetings and assisting in date management
- Generating reports and distributing project related information to internal and external partners
