About the role:

The Marketing Content Strategist is a new role at Analog Devices and will play a critical role in our effort to build a world-class marketing organization.  The continued growth of our now $6B global business and the increasing complexity of our audiences require us to take a big step forward in content strategy.  This role will be responsible for helping establish the strategies and practices necessary to develop effective content that informs and fuels our campaigns, media, and engagement strategies. We’re looking for a seasoned content marketer who can roll up their sleeves and wear multiple hats including strategist, program manager, content producer, and cross-functional leader.  If this sounds like you, and you thrive in a fast-paced high-output environment, we’d love to talk.

Responsibilities:

Establishing strategies and practices

  • Establish scalable content strategies, frameworks, and repeatable processes to enable fast and efficient development of content plans and ensure maximum effectiveness
  • Develop and iterate customer personas and journeys, and guidelines for how to use them
  • Manage centralized content calendar and editorial process
  • Inform content objectives and establish metrics and processes to enable program optimization, reporting, and continuous improvement
  • Identify opportunities to scale and re-purpose content beyond its original use and reach
  • Develop editorial and creative standards to ensure content is cohesive across touchpoints.  Be a steward of our corporate brand guidelines and customer experience

Cross-functional leadership and program management

  • Provide strategic guidance to internal content developers including writers, designers, videographers, and SME contributors.  Ensure content is aligned around well-understood narratives and common objectives
  • Provide project management for content programs with accountability for workstreams. timelines, and delivery against objectives
  • Formalize and grow our bench of external freelancers
  • Identify opportunities for the content team to lead its own programs and experiment with new ideas
  • Drive tight collaboration between the content team and various partners/stakeholders throughout the company including our web team, channel managers, regional marketing, internal communications, and business units
  • This role has significant potential to develop into people-manager role with direct reports.

Day-to-day content delivery

  • Contribute to content development, writing, and editing responsibilities, including guidance for content produced outside the marketing department
  • Conduct external research about our markets, trends, and competitors to ensure our stories are well-positioned within the external narrative
  • Work with ADI’s subject matter experts and executives to develop differentiated thought leadership narratives for content marketing, speaking engagements, and PR.
  • Serve as a brand journalist, networking throughout the company to discover stories, themes, and contributors for new content opportunities

Experience and skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing or similar field required
  • 7+ years of experience in a sophisticated B2B marketing environment.  Mix of both corporate and agency/consulting experience is ideal
  • Experience marketing technology or other complex subject matter (engineering background not necessary), and communicating effectively across both technical and general audiences.
  • Direct responsibility for developing and implementing content strategies at both individual program and overarching strategy levels, and deploying
  • Broad range of program/project management skills and experience developing various types of content for both digital and non-digital channels
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current best practices, tools, and trends for content strategy within brand marketing, demand gen, and lead gen contexts
  • Highly analytical and results oriented.  Demonstrated experience with measurement, reporting, and data-driven decision making
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.  Highly-organized and detail-oriented with outstanding follow-through and attention to deadlines
  • Creative and design-savvy with high visual and editorial quality standards
