About this role

The main responsibility is to deliver, maintain and manage standard andconsistent full suite of Cost Engineering to the project. For aportfolio of projects >$100 million. Depending on the development phase of the project, accountabilitiescan be summarised as management andenablement of the following activities;

• Establish and implement the cost engineeringprocesses and systems;• Develop the cost management procedures;• Assist in developing progress monitoringprocedures with planning team;• Provide cost management support in thedevelopment of costbreakdown structures, estimates, records andforecasts for the timelysubmission into the investment documentation,the annual corporateplanning cycle, or partner cash callingsubmissions;• Provide cost management support in thedevelopment of the workbreakdown structure, activities, logic,resources and progress of theintegrated project schedule, i.e. baseline;• Develop Cost Time and Resource (CTR) sheetsfor phased cost estimatesfor the project in line with the companyguidance;• Provide the Project Manager with accuratemonthly cost reports including commentary and trend analysis;• Develop contract pricing and administrationinstructions for alignmentwith the cost breakdown structure, bidevaluations and company counterestimates to support contract awardrecommendations;• Apply probabilistic techniques to determineand communicate thepossible range of cost and schedule outcomes forthe project;• Analyse of trends that offer early warning ofany deviations;• Contribute to close-out reports as input toLessons Learned andbenchmarking efforts for other Shell projects;• Review scope change requests for the totalinstalled cost & scheduleimpact;• Prepare reconciliations between earlier costestimates and the currentcost forecast.

About you

• Have 5+ years’ experience in a Cost Control/Engineering role;• Engineering/Business Degree and/or equivalent experience for the role;• Industry experience in cost control/cost engineering position highly desirable;• Experience in roles where the organisation is the operator desirable;• Experience in un-conventional oil and gas highly desired;• A high degree of skill in written and oral communications.
