Role Summary:
The Application will lead projects in the Inquiry to Order Processes of Wind Focused on orders growth at high contribution margins. Application Engineers are technical advisors to Commercial Operations and Sales and are consultants for our customer and Industry.
Essential Responsibilities:
– Lead Wind Resource Assessment for LATAM market and provide support to global projects in the related field.
– Lead/Perform Mechanical Load Analysis for LATAM market and provide support to global projects in the related field.
– Lead/Perform Due diligence activities for LATAM market and provide support to global projects in the related field.
– Support global team in technical initiatives.
Qualifications/Requirements:
– BS degree in related field or Master’s degree in mechanical, Electrical or related field
Experience with customers.
– Proven effective written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish.
– Presentation Skills: ability to communicate with Senior Leadership
– Demonstrated ability in managing own projects
– Capable of accomplishing assignments independently
– Open team player
– Self-starter who likes to take initiative and with good project management skills
– Ability to adapt real-time to rapidly changing business
– Open to accepting challenges outside of normal comfort zone
– Must use flexible and collaborative approach to problem solving
– Comfortable providing technical presentations to peers & managers on the details of technical issues and project status
– Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership experience
– Familiarity with Technical regulation and Standard in LATAM
– Green Belt certification within 1 year of hire date / Green Belt certified
In case of being a GEIQ employee, you must have previously occupied a position as an Intern or Entry.
Desired Characteristics:
– >1 year experience in Wind Energy
– Portuguese Proficiency
– Skills in Matlab
– Strong oral and written communication skills.
– Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
– Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
– Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
– Established project management skills.
