Cybersecurity Systems Hardening and Operations Manager
In this critical role, we will look to you to apply your expert subject matter knowledge to successfully manage staff activities in solving the most complex business/technical issues within established policies. You will manage activities of non-exempt/exempt individual contributors (typically Expert/Master) and/or MG1s. You will be responsible for maintaining accountability for large, multi-department area(s) or location(s) with significant impact on business unit results and organizational strategy. In this role, you will act as a key advisor to senior management on the development of cutting-edge solutions and long-term strategic goals of the organization. This will include planning, managing and monitoring high-end operational/tactical activities of Staff. Staff members’ primary focus is on either high-end tactical or broad strategic issues or a combination of both. This role recruits and supports the development of direct staff members. This position typically reports to Director or above.
Additional Guidance/Criteria:
• Directs and controls activities within a sub-region or Region.
• Typically manages 10 or more direct reports. Span of Control guidelines may differ from these numbers.
Responsibilities:
• Directs the strategic direction and work of a large team or group working to execute best practice vulnerability management strategies, issue resolution and response processes, respond to threat intelligence, and proactive prevention measure development
• Directs and provides strategic input to managers, team leaders and professionals in the research or resolution of security vulnerabilities, threats and issues
• Leads the resolution and research of critical problems for the highest risk critical security solutions in the highest complexity environments or projects
• Directs and provides strategic input on the development of innovative control systems by leveraging deep industry expertise and a thorough knowledge of information security and technology
• Partners with clients and/or stakeholders to set the strategic direction for security technology and prevention measures
• Establishes and manages relationships with client executives and subject matter experts
• Design and deliver formal presentations to C-level audiences
• Manage enterprise vendor relations (budgets of five million or more)
Education and Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science, engineering or related area of study or equivalent experience required.
• Typically 10+ years of relevant experience
• 5+ years of experience leading people and teams
• Industry recognized and relevant Cybersecurity certifications preferred

• Exceptional Cyber and IT security knowledge
• Exceptional understanding of Cyber and IT security risks, threats and prevention measures
• Industry-leading data security system analysis skills
• Exceptional understanding of security standards and best practices
• Exceptional risk assessment and management skills
• Exceptional understanding of networking and network security
• Vendor Relations: Strong experience managing enterprise vendor accounts (budgets of five
million or more)
• Strong experience designing and delivering C-level presentations
