ata Architect – Digital Transformation

We have an exciting high profile role for a Data Architect to join our new Digital Transformation team in Product Transformation.
The digital transformation team is focused on streamlining and simplifying processes to enable end to end automation and seamless digital journeys for our internal and external customers.
In this role you will be responsible for creating a large scale defined data strategy & architecture for the Digital Transformation team ensuring that there is defined automation across systems whilst also adhering to data integrity.
Your role:

Architecture effort for Digital Transformation projects which will include; producing Technical Impact Analysis estimates of effort for project delivery, Technical Options Papers to make key decisions, impact assessments and resource and capacity cost estimations.

Produce application designs for data management systems (Enterprise Data Warehouse, Operational Data Stores and amongst others) that include data models, data flows and ensure coverage of all required data scenarios

Use data profiling tools and techniques to inform design activities by detecting trends, patterns and outliers

Perform Capacity Impact analysis to determine infrastructure and licensing requirements. Ensure security, regulatory and operational factors are considered in design

Design job scheduling and ensure inter-dependencies across jobs are correctly configured and managed
About you:
You will be an experienced Data Architect who has the proven ability to create application designs for data management systems.
You will be familiar & have proven expertise in the following:

Data Architecture – Data Warehouse, Data Mart, ODS, ETL, reporting, analytics, master data management

Data Modelling – 3NF, Dimensional, Star Schema

Multiple RDBMS at least including Teradata and Oracle

Excellent SQL. Previous exposure to database scripting and programming languages at least including BTEQ, SQL*Plus and PL/SQL

Oracle Data Integrator
This is a highly technical role and will require Degree or equivalent in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering.
