Role Summary:

We are looking for a Data Engineer (BI Front-End Developer) to join our Centre of Excellence, being part of a GE Healthcare’s Data & Analytics team. You will be responsible for building business intelligence solutions on simultaneous projects under BI Solution Delivery Center.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Work under Agile/Scrum approaches.

• Analyse business requirements and estimate effort.
• Design performing data models, datasets, queries, and routines to support multiple reporting subject areas.
• Consolidate data from multiple heterogeneous data sources into integrated reporting solutions.
• Research for new techniques, tools, and approaches that help in keeping the product portfolio relevant and state of the art.
• Responsible for systems analysis, testing, debugging, monitoring, and documentation standards.
• Coordinate with deployment and support teams to ensure the solutions get implemented into QA and production environments.
• Maintains peer relationships across IT areas (infrastructure, operations, COEs, etc) to support effective implementations.
• Applies standard development procedures and a detailed applications knowledge in area of responsibility to create technical designs driving towards simple, sustainable, and reusable solutions.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent (STEM) with strong experience as data engineer.

• Strong Tableau, Spotfire, Qlik, or other BI Front-End technologies experience.

• Good understatement of the SQL language
• Experience in Business Intelligence DWH: Teradata, Oracle or similar.
• Knowledge of finance reporting tools such as Hyperion/Essbase.
• Proficient in the use of at least one ETL/ELT tool – nice to have.
• Full system development life cycle hands-on experience: analysis, designing, coding, testing, performance tuning and documentation.
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and ability to explain issues and resolutions to technical and non-technical staff.
• Previous IT programs development or design experience.
