Description
He/She will be responsible for accurate, complete, and timely collection of GIS data.Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the information tracked by the respective departments. Utilizes editing and analytical tools within GIS software to create and edit mapping layers.
Job Responsibility
- Captures comprehensive information on the data tracked by GIS Department.
- Keeps up-to-date in knowledge of content sets. Builds industry knowledge.
- Provides input and ideas for new collection methods and product enhancements related to the covered content sets.
- Reviews feedback involving their content to help correct errors and establish or refine procedures and processes to improve accuracy.
- Keeps up-to-date on industry trends and reporting standards.
- Troubleshoots problems or issues and provides meaningful feedback to co-workers.
Education:
- Equivalent of BA or BS in Geography &/ Masters or equivalent degree in Geo-Informatics.
- No prior work experience is required however; prior knowledge of GIS tools and systems is highly preferred.
- Strong oral and written English skills required.
