Role Summary:

Serve as a Digital Auditor Specialist for the GE Aviation Cybersecurity & Technology Risk organization. The Digital Auditor Specialist will assist with planning and executing IT controls audits across a broad system portfolio to meet both internal and external audit requirements; including regulatory requirements, external certifications and internal risk-based activities. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute IT audit engagements
  • Assist with planning through risk analysis, control identification, and audit program development
  • Lead kick-off, status, and closing meetings with audit stakeholders
  • Conduct interviews to understand relevant processes and document using narratives and/or flowcharts
  • Assess processes and controls against leading practice, internal standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Develop work papers to address the objectives of the audit program and support conclusions
  • Identify control gaps in design and expectation, evaluate potential impact, and make recommendations to leadership
  • Assist with preparing written audit communications
  • Contribute continuous improvement opportunities
  • Provide assistance to external audit teams
  • Manage multiple engagements simultaneously

    Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

    Desired Characteristics:

  • Prior experience from E&Y, KPMG, Deloitte, PwC or IT Corporate Audit Staff Graduate (GE Employee only)
  • Experience writing Audit Programs/Controls
  • Knowledge of IT audit procedures, including planning, techniques, test and sampling methods
  • Understanding of information security and governance frameworks (ISO 27001/2, COBIT, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171) and regulatory requirements (SOX 404, General Data Privacy Regulation)
  • Pursuing CISA or CISSP Certification
  • Proven track record of detailed quality documentation delivery to defined standards
  • Experience of implementing and operating Risk Based Testing methodologies
  • Experience with auditing technologies (SAP, Oracle ERP, Oracle Database, MS SQL, Windows, Unix, Mainframe, Networks, Cloud environments)
  • Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication and leadership skills with the ability to quickly build credibility, influence and make recommendations to all levels
