Role Summary:

This position leads a technical disciplined team who are responsible for improving quality, reliability, serviceability and manufacturability of Magnetic Resonance (MR) products from design to factory to field; also responsible for delivering clinically relevant solutions to customer problems and field teams in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Essential Responsibilities:

Duties includes (but are not limited to):
1.Functional leadership of the team, including recruitment, team/talent development, skill set improvement, and mentoring.
2.Owning and driving the overall quality strategy for MR including but not limited to customer problem solutions, data strategy, solution deployment, and product enhancements.
3.Resource assignment and prioritization including headcount and base cost budget
4.Instilling a rigorous approach to target costing for new products and driving cost out of existing products
5.Leading change through creative solutions to unstructured product and system design issues
6.Optimizing team’s participation in all phases of product development
7.Collaboration with MR Segment and MR Platform teams to drive design for reliability, design for serviceability, design for data and design for cost
8.Supporting existing products within Manufacturing, Sourcing, Service and Supplier Quality Engineering

Qualifications/Requirements:

1.Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Physics, or equivalent experience
2.10 years relevant work experience
3.5 years project management or direct or indirect people leadership experience
4.Proven ability to work cross-functionally

Quality Specific Goals:
1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

Desired Characteristics:

1.Masters or PhD in Engineering or Physics, Electrical Engineering preferred
2.Broad exposure to HW/SW/Systems design, and technical depth in one or more engineering disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical, etc.)
3.Demonstrated project leadership and/or people management skills
4.Demonstrated supplier and manufacturing interface skills
5.Proven mentoring and coaching abilities; demonstrated ability to motivate & inspire others
6.Excellent communication, influencing skills and ability to gain buy-in for initiatives
7.Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, timing and quality of outcomes
8.Demonstrated problem-solving and leadership skills
9.Demonstrated influencing skills with stakeholders at all levels of the business
