Role Overview

The Sales Director, SaaS is responsible for leading a dedicated sales team focused on Secureworks’ Red Cloak Threat Detection and Response (TDR) SaaS solution.
This includes hiring, training, managing, and mentoring a growing team of dedicated sales “hunters” in the U.S. and EMEA.  There is personal responsibility and focus placed on accurate forecasting and achieving quarterly sales objectives. The Director is also responsible for ensuring sales process is followed and documented in our SFDC system. You should also be able to demonstrate and quantify past success leading sales teams selling cybersecurity software or SaaS solutions for a startup or young company.

Responsibilities

  • Attract and retain top sales talent for a growing team of dedicated Red Cloak TDR sellers
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and a disciplined sales process that works well with SaaS solutions
  • Grow ACV through new customer acquisition, and achieve or over-achieve on all targets
  • Provide regular coaching and account strategy sessions with sales executives
  • Be active in the field with your team to help build relationships
  • Work collaboratively with Product Management and Marketing regarding product feature requests, customer feedback, market trends, and competitive intelligence
  • Perceived as a customer advocate to ensure all product issues are resolved and the customer experience is enhance

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a direct sales or account management role in technology or information security industries
  • At least 8 years of experience leading software sales teams with demonstrable success leading and managing team
  • At least 7 years of sales experience with cybersecurity software companies
  • Experience leading sales teams at both established companies and at earlier stage start-ups or smaller companies
  • Must be a team player and collaborative – ability to interact with teammates and customer fairly and respectfully; proactive/results-driven/strong problem solving skills
  • Must work well in an entrepreneurial environment; be a self-starter and a visionary leader
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com and common sales methodologies used in software business
  • A willingness to travel to the extent required to develop, close and manage the business and client relationships. Travel is estimated to be 60% on average

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher (Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems).
