Where you fit 

You’ll be part of the Energy Solutions marketing team in New Energies, with a focus on providing customer insights that will support B2C and B2B marketing strategies across key markets worldwide

As Energy Customer Insights Manager, you’ll be supporting customer insights initiatives in our B2C  and B2B business areas where we aim to deliver significant value to residential and large business customers through innovative and cleaner energy offers.

What’s the role?

You’re going to be pivotal to our new energy mission: leading and managing the customer insights agenda and working closely with our B2C and B2B marketing and product strategy teams, exploring and identifying the key influences and customer needs that will drive our future marketing activity, and translating your observations into meaningful business ideas and implications.

You’ll embrace a wide range of responsibilities, from informing longer-term innovation and ensuring Shell is up to date on the latest customer and market energy trends, to designing and leading studies to support business decision making.

Inquisitive and a strong self-starter, you’ll confidently put your opinion forward, as you actively nurture strong stakeholder relations and seek cross-business opportunities across Shell to strengthen a seamless customer experience of the Shell brand.

Requirements

What we need from you 

We want to talk to men and women with seasoned experience in customer insights, ideally with experience in both client and agency businesses, skilled at identifying customer insights translating them into actionable business implications. Beyond that, we’re keen to see as many of the following attributes on your CV:

  • Skilled in linking insights to commercial opportunities and make recommendations how to activate against these.
  • Comfortable with change and a fast learner, you have experience in agile and innovative ways to introduce customer insights into new and growing business areas.
  • Experience leading complex large multi-national insight projects spanning a wide range of methodologies and diverse countries.
  • Able to thrive in a complex multinational matrix organisation where many key stakeholders will be based in other countries.
  • Confident managing both large and boutique agency partners.
  • Experience in the Energy market and / or smart tech related industries will be a significant advantage
