Essential Functions:
- Perform all levels and types of estimating, planning, scheduling and cost engineering project activities.
- Accurately take off all utility projects
- Management of material vendor relationships, including packaging and presentation of RFQs and evaluation of vendor pricing.
- Management of subcontractors
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors/partners
- Manage subcontractor database
- Prepare RFQs and evaluate vendor pricing
- Understanding of Civil construction related to substation, transmission, and other utility T&D projects
- Understanding of power delivery, including substations and transmission lines
- Understanding of engineering scopes, including electrical, structural, civil, civil experts (hydrology, Geothech, etc…) and permitting
- May train and develop skills of estimators
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of estimating experience in the utility space
- Experience with design/build and engineer, procure, construct (EPC)
- Experience with Accubid preferred
