EXPERIENCED LINUX SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Job Description
As an Experienced Linux Software Engineer for this dynamic Boeing program, you will join a highly collaborative, close-knit multi-disciplinary team.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Utilize your solid understanding of the software development process and the ability to work with multiple support teams, customers, and other organizations to identify and resolve complex issues
• Work with engineers, system administrators, security personnel and project managers in a secure environment
• Leverage your creative problem solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills across a broad domain of computing situations and activities
• Work independently and take ownership of projects under general direction
• Clearly communicate status and issues and suggest alternative paths forward
• Develop and maintain software using Java, C++, and Java Message Service API in LINUX OS environments
• Perform systems engineering and requirements decomposition
• Interface with customers

Required Qualifications, Experience and Education:

Basic Qualifications Required:

• This position requires an active U.S. Security Clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) that has been successfully completed within the last 5 years. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
• Must have 5+ years’ experience with software architecture, design and configuration management.
• Must have experience with cloud technologies and/or containerization.
• Must possess bachelor degree

Desired Qualifications/Experience:

• -Experience with automated testing is desired.

Education Required:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
