What’s the role?
As a Field Engineer/ Technical Advisor you will provide first class technical support to key German customers and OEM’s in the B2B focus sectors of General Manufacturing, Automotive Components and Chemicals. It will be your task to maintain existing and source new business, whilst working and aligning closely with local, regional or global colleagues.
Main accountabilities include:
  • Excellent front line technical support to customers, prospects and sales staff that includes problem solving, troubleshooting and application advice for any technical lubrication matter.
  • Close cooperation with our global R&D organisation to formulate and develop the lubricants of tomorrow.
  • Supporting sales initiatives by delivering appropriate lubrication training to customers and developing high-quality product, application and services expertise.
  • Conducting plant and equipment audits, lubrication surveys, as well as sophisticated field trial evaluations, e.g. on energy efficiency at our customer locations.

Requirements

What we need from you 

To maintain strong customer relationships, we are looking for an incumbent capable to translate complex technical challenges into the language of customers as well as the ability to demonstrate added value on products and services. Therefore, it would be an advantage seeing as many of the following on your CV:

  • Bachelor/ Master degree in Engineering or correlating sciences
  • Technical skills or first work experience in mechanical engineering, industrial production or chemical processing
  • Knowledge in lubrication would be great, but is not a must have
  • High self-confidence, excellent interpersonal communication skills paired with a disciplined and structured way of working
  • Fluency in German and English language
