Job Description

BDS Financial Planning & Analysis is seeking a manager to lead the Space and Launch division financial planning and analysis (FP&A) team from Arlington, VA. As the FP&A manager, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis and guidance to the to the Space and Launch CFO. This role reports to the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) FP&A Senior Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive increased financial performance to meet long range business plan (LRBP) and assess financial implications on profit and loss (P&L).
  • Lead the development and consolidation of the annual LRBP and monthly forecast for the business.
  • Serve as lead for cash management at the division level.
  • Act as key finance focal for the Space and Launch CFO for the integration of multiple businesses financials.
  • Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures and set operational goals.
  • Coaches, counsels, mentors and provides developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilities.
  • Provides on-going developmental feedback.
  • Recognizes contributions of individuals and teams to improve employee satisfaction and retain a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Creates a culture of continuous improvement by communicating/deploying enterprise best practices and employee engagement to improve quality, cost, delivery, employee job satisfaction and customer satisfaction.
  • Establishes partnerships and relationships with internal and external customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Finance or related business degree
  • 5 years of experience in a finance role
  • 2 or more years of cash management (working capital) experience
  • 2 or more years of experience in the preparation of Long Range Business Plans (LRBP) for a portfolio of programs
  • 3 or more years of experience using financial analysis for the purposes of decision making
  • 3 years of experience leading a team
  • 3 years of experience providing briefings to senior and/or executive level management
  • Experience with team building, developing and motivating employees
  • Willing and able to obtain a US Government Security clearance
Preferred Qualification:
  • Experience with Profit & Loss
  • Familiar with supporting business cases
  • Current and active US Government Security Clearance
 
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
