Job Description Summary:

This position exists to direct variety pack crews in building a quality product in a safe, consistent and timely manner according to the established quality and safety standards set forth by The Coca-Cola Company

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Completing all paperwork associated with variety pack
    • VP worksheet, VP downtime report, daily/weekly cleaning sheets
  • Completing Variety Pack set up
    • Pulling components from designated /assigned locations
    • Building partial pallets
    • Staging product to be used in production of VP SKUs
    • Placement of pallets on levelers for associates
    • Shrink film, case coder and palletizer set up
    • Program adjustments as necessary
  • Operation of the Printed film/Clear  film  applicator
    • Starting and stopping machine safely
    • Changing printed/clear film and pack simulate film
    • Welding over to new roll of film as needed
    • Troubleshooting, as needed
    • Acting quickly on alarms and error messages
  • Operation of the Palletizer
    • Safe operation of the palletizer
    • Setup of stacking patterns and changing programs
    • Operation of the stretch wrapper
    • Changing rolls of stretch film
    • Troubleshooting, as needed
    • Acting quickly on alarms and error messages
  • Use of proper lock out on all machines associated with the Variety Pack production
  • Box former/tray maker
    • Operation of the box former
    • Supervision of others running the box former
    • Basic trouble shooting on the BF and glue applicator
    • Performing change overs of Box Former/Tray Maker
  • Operation of a forklift, including safe propane fill up of forklift, completion of daily lift inspections and checklists
    • Loading trucks, as needed.
    • Putting pallets away in proper storage locations
    • Use of Datapass and SAP
  • Training new associates and evaluation of other associates in the JQM process; retraining as needed.
  • Must understand the importance of maintaining a safe work habit/work area – recognize and correct safety hazards.
  • Completion of daily cleaning requirements; other job related duties as assigned.

Technical Skills:

  • Cleaning around machines and work area
  • Must be able to properly drive a forklift

Eligibility Requirements

  • Has read and understands plant GMP’s. Doc # (GM-001-F); knowledge and use of necessary PPE
  • Has completed JQM level A , and understands all functions and expectations
  • Basic reading and writing skills are required
  • Has successfully completed all yearly training matrixes (Current or Prior Year)
  • Three to six months experience in a production environment: beverage processing knowledge is preferred
  • Previous forklift certification preferred
  • Demonstrates ability to lead a team
