The opportunity

Phantom Works International (PWI) is seeking a Graduate Software Engineer to be a part of an exciting software development project within the business. PWI is the international prototyping and development arm of Boeing Defence Space & Security, conducting rapid projects with a focus on commercialising innovation and transitioning new technology into the sales units of the Boeing business.

The role in PWI is located at Boeing Defence Australia’s head office in Brisbane. Some international and interstate travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Involvement in the analysis of customer requirements
  • Execute design development, verification, deployment and maintenance activities
  • Software development across the entire lifecycle, from concept to disposal

Essential Experience/Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Software Engineering and/or Computer Science
  • Possess exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
  • Have sound communication and interpersonal skills that will facilitate you working in a small development team.
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.

Desirable Experience/Qualifications

  • Some experience in Object Oriented Design C++, and Python skills, working to software sprints using Agile, software requirements analysis and specification, functional analysis, software design and development, software integration and test.
  • Some familiarity with geospatial systems, standards and data formats.
