PURPOSE:  This position is responsible for the Administrative functions of Dana’s Oracle Hyperion products including Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Financial Data Quality Management (FDM), and Data Relationship Management (DRM).  This individual must be adept in all aspects of managing complex Hyperion environments (Development, Quality Assurance, and Production).

As an HFM administrator, this position will be responsible for:

  1. Managing all Hyperion functions as they relate to supporting the monthly close
  2. Monthly maintenance, including metadata and mapping changes, changes to standard reports, supporting/coordinating software updates and patches, and any related testing, and managing all utilities and tools, including security for users
  3. Assessing how the system can help support changes in the business environment including acquisitions, dispositions, retrospective application of new accounting standards, and executing plans and developing future plans to leverage the application technology, e.g., help local markets map data through FDM and develop reports to meet local reporting requirements.

This person must exhibit an understanding of the importance of a controlled environment for tracking configuration or data changes.  The position will work with finance and accounting personnel from corporate offices and the business units, and the person must be able to work well with a broad group of individuals.  This position must be able to report information in a concise and meaningful manner.  This person will have a firm understanding of the structure and functionality of general ledger and accounting systems.  This person will need to possess a desire for learning and understanding the company’s accounting and finance application structure in order to help maintain and improve HFM and FDM.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<span style=”font-family: “Arial”, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;”> 

HFM Administrator

  • Responsible for preparing HFM for each month end close as well as budgeting/forecasting cycles
  • Responsible for monitoring the loading, promotion, and consolidation of data in HFM
  • Responsible for monitoring the data outputs (outbound interfaces and extracts)
  • Must adhere to tight close and reporting schedules
  • Responsible for processing and tracking metadata changes in HFM
  • Maintenance of rules logic, forms, and data grids within HFM
  • Maintain controlled processes for loading and validation of data
  • Responsible for periodic review of existing users security rights
  • Liaison with the IT group to support system, servers, upgrades and patches
  • Responsible for assisting with training users on HFM and FR utilizing the UPK Training Tool
  • Creation and maintenance of Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio (FR) reports, Smartview reports, and ad-hoc reporting
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of data sources and data outputs
  • Creation and implementation of process improvements which includes testing, validating and documenting change process
  • Assist with system configuration / modification to support acquisitions, divestitures, or retrospective accounting changes
  • Collaborate with business teams to develop or clarify requirements for improving and expanding the capability of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Financial Reporting Studio (FR) and UPK Training Tool
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 2-5 years hands on Administration experience with HFM and FDM version 11 or higher
  • Experience must include working with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM),Workspace, Calc Manager, Rules, Grids, Smartview, EPMA, DRM, FDM)
  • Effective project management, process planning and implementation skills
  • Strong basic accounting knowledge (journal entries, T-accounts, impact to financial statements)
  • Hyperion EPM Trouble Shooting, Tuning, Disaster Recovery, Backups and Restore, Security
  • Hyperion EPM Components Installation, Patching, Upgrades
  • Experience with archiving and migration
  • Execution / documentation of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
  • Working knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Financial Data Management (FDM)
  • Ability to modify and create UPK learning sessions
  • Administration experience with Oracle’s EPM version 11 or higher
