Job Description:

Dana Power Technologies, global and leading producer of automotive heat exchangers has an opening for a Human Resources Manager who must be a customer focused leader, and able to continue to build the plant leadership and workforce teams as a results-oriented units.

Reporting to the Plant Manager and working as a key member of the Mount Forest Ontario Plant management team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that a complete and world-class level of HR services are set and professionally executed at the plant:

The choice candidate will have a track-record of accomplishments in:

Labour, Employee Relations and Workplace Safety:  including strategic planning, change management, dispute resolution, collective bargaining and safety leadership.

In Workforce Management:  planning and structuring the workforce to meet and exceed current and future business and operating needs;  maintaining up-to-date and accurate HRIS systems and metrics;  providing analyses to improve employment costs and workforce performance.

In Communications:  including conflict/grievance resolution, employee engagement and partnership programs as well as effective change-management and continuous improvement leadership..

In Staffing and Staff Development;  including recruitment, hiring and candidate-evaluation services, succession planning, career and professional development support as well as leadership development and educational/training resources.

In Performance Management;  including up-to-date and accurate unit/position descriptions, effective performance measurements, as well as performance improvement programming;  acumen with return-to-work and attendance improvement programs.

In Compensation and Benefits:  including up-to-date program descriptions;  ready access and problem solving, as well as up-to-date survey data ensuring that programs are competitive within the Company, industry, and the region.

 

 

Job Requirements:

The successful candidate will have:

Progressively responsible management experience in human resources, preferably in a manufacturing setting.  A post-secondary diploma/degree in business administration, the arts or social sciences, with a specialization in HR Management.  Possession of or significant progress toward a professional designation in HR Management and/or Workplace Safety.  Expertise in employment, labour, and health & safety legislation, as well as leading HR Management practices.  Experience in collective bargaining, grievance arbitration and conflict resolution.  Leadership in Organizational as well as Leadership Development, Change Management and Project Management Skills.  Strong organizational and communications skills.  PC literacy and facility with all key data-management and word software.  Experience working with ADP e-Time, SAP GlobalView and Employee Central preferred. A track-record demonstrating success through the practical application of continuous improvement principles is a plus.
