Description

Location-Shelby Drive. Shift-Monday-Thursday, 5 AM to 3:30 PM. 

 
As an Inventory Management Specialist you will provide inventory process exception research and advanced clerical support, along with problem-solving resolution for North America Supply Chain’s distribution center facilities; with the primary goal of ensuring adequate inventory levels are maintained to maximize customer satisfaction. Working with limited direct supervision, the Inventory Control Specialist is responsible to review and resolve inventory exceptions as well as distribute daily reports to inventory control and cross functional operations management, using a computerized inventory system. The Inventory Control Specialist may act as an informal resource to peers as needed.

Qualifications
• Perform inventory balancing between WMoS and SAP including monitoring failed transactions and executing inventory adjustments which interface to the company’s financial records.
• Provide issue resolution and reporting regarding inventory exceptions; such as, wave deselections, blocked inventory, virtual inventory, broken pre-packs, ASN aging, disposition of inactive product, special projects as necessary, etc.
• Tasks coordination for, routine administrative tasks, and support of cross functional team’s assessments of unit adjustments.
• Tasks related to informal training of peers (as needed).
• Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience.
• Skilled in multiple processes or has developed a deep skillset in a single process (i.e. relationship of WMoS to SAP, product flow, etc.)
• Comfortable acting as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience and being consulted when problem solving is needed.
• Capable of using existing processes to solve complex problems (i.e. system imbalances, virtual inventory overview, inventory accuracy and adjustments, as defined by local work instructions and in conformance with SC Ops & DS2P expectations).
• Capable of handling ambiguity and working with limited supervision.
