Under general supervision, designs, maintains, and implements SQL database management systems. Develops processes that assure data is properly stored and access is properly controlled. Reviews database system needs, options, risks, cost analysis, impact on IT departments, and organizations business goals. Assists with the development of standards and data storage design. Performs maintenance, security administration, backup, and recovery on database management systems. Supports business management with database access, optimum resource configuration, cost analysis, and database performance.

• Supports the design, implementation, and maintenance of database management systems.
• Develops processes that assure data is properly stored and access is properly controlled.
• Supports business management with database access, optimum resource configuration, cost analysis, and database performance.
• Designs and installs database management system applications. Establishes synergies with existing database applications and processing systems.
• Works with the Application teams to maintain SQL Database versions are current and supported
• Performs backup and recovery on database management systems.
• Performs other duties as directed.

University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline plus generally seven years of directly related experience.Technical working knowledge and experience developing database managementsystems and solutions.
