Java Software Engineer

This is a technical position for Global Payment Strategy program. We are looking for a highly motivated and result driven individual to contribute towards building new platform for this initiative. As a Java Applications Developer , you will have technical expertise and ability to hit the ground running fast. You will be required to work in partnership with the design authority, other development team members and project management team as required. You will be part of a feature team operating in agile environment and have familiarity with agile methodology. This will be a hands-on technical role.

Required Skills:
Computer related Engineering Degree or similar experience.
2+ years of Java development experience.
Good communication skills.
Experience in developing high performance backend server code
Strong software engineering skills and ability to develop robust, readable and maintainable code
Able to work in small, focused teams
Preferred Skills:
Experience writing re-usable APIs and developing frameworks.
Experience with Cassandra database.
Experience utilizing version control tools such as GIT.
Familiarity with Agile Methodology.
Experience working with geographically diverse team.
experience utilizing Spring Framework, annotation driven development. .
experience in writing unit and acceptance test cases utilizing JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber and other similar tools and APIs. knowledge of Test Driven Development.
experience with asynchronous messaging such as IBM MQ, Apache Qpid, Apache Kafka.
