Role Summary

JPMorgan Chase is looking for a dynamic senior writer/editor to join our Brand Creative team. In this role, you will be a digital-first content leader who tells the firm’s story for owned and paid channels, supporting Corporate Responsibility, Women on the Move, Advancing Black Pathways and other corporate initiatives. You will translate marketing and programmatic strategy into compelling, original content plans that showcase the positive change the firm is making in communities on a global scale.

 

The ideal candidate is skilled in seeking out unique storylines; organizing content capture; collaborating with designers, videographers and developers, writing short and long-form content; coaching writers and producing authentic content packages that resonate with key audiences.

 

Responsibilities

Content Management 

You will evaluate research, data, marketing plans, and other firm materials to create and present cross-channel content strategies that reflect the firm’s mission and values and align with seasonal themes, firm priorities, news cycles and corporate initiatives.

 

Relationship Management

You will work closely with internal partners and the CR Brand Strategy team to develop content plans that align with audience needs, key business objectives and outlined KPIs. You will also own the content calendar and facilitate all content production, review and approvals for timely publication.

 

Writing/Editing

You will conduct interviews, and write and edit all content as needed across channels and formats including, long and short-form articles, videos, social, voice, etc. When necessary you will also, manage freelancers to support this work. The desired candidate will ideate and refine story concepts, organize interviews and produce work to the highest standards according to risk/control guidelines, digital and SEO best practices and brand tone and voice.  

Qualifications

    • B.A. in journalism, English, marketing, PR, digital media or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience creating long and short-form digital, mobile or social content for a brand journalism team, agency or in a similar setting
  • Expertise in one or all of the following: finance, the economy, lifestyle/culture, and tech content writing
  • Expertise in creative, digital storytelling and working with creatives
  • Understanding of legal implications for financial brand content
  • Superior skills in evaluating content performance metrics to inform future content decisions
  • Expert in managing a content calendar and tracking categorical content
  • Superior skills in writing within strict character limits and templates—without sacrificing story
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Comfort working under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work on multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and with sound judgement
  • Experience developing editorial guidelines and coaching content creators
