Job Overview

The Laboratory Technician, under general supervision will support Engineering, Quality and Laboratory leaders by executing activities related to electro mechanical product, subassembly, and component testing. The Test Technician will collect data utilizing a variety of tools, equipment and software.

They will perform routine and non-routine testing activities according to Standard Procedures and Test Methods. Collection of data and attention to detail are critical requirements of this role. Typical activities may include: benchtop testing of electro/mechanical components and small appliance assembly testing, maintaining lab test logs, databases, contributing to continuous improvement, generating and writing reports, presenting results to engineering/quality, troubleshooting and resolving test-function problems; helping with special projects; maintaining a safe work environment.

    

What you will do:

  • Lead work with little direct supervision.
  • Train, organize, mentor other junior test technicians.
  • Document and prepare test samples
  • Write and update test methods & procedures.
  • Summarize results & including statistical data analysis.
  • Oversee & train others in the proper set-up, operation, maintenance and calibration of lab apparatus & precision test equipment.
  • Conduct or oversee the testing of electro/mechanical components, sub-assemblies, appliances.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and efficient workplace, with a 6S mindset.
  • Highly skilled in the use of hand-tools, precision measurement tools, data recording devices, and communication computer skills.
  • Familiarity with software validation preferred
  • Demonstrate an extraordinary work ethic and commitment to projects, timelines, and successful outcomes.
  • Follow all Keurig Dr. Pepper policies and procedures.

Requirements

What you must have:

  • Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with automated test fixtures, data acquisition and software
  • Experience with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment
  • Ability to work and thrive in an agile environment
  • Ability to multitask and maintain focus on priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
