Job Description:
The Boeing Research & Technology in Bangalore, conducts research in areas related to improving the technologies and design methods for current and future aerospace products. Besides doing in-house research, the Center is also partnering with selected Academic Institutions, Government Laboratories and Private Enterprises across India.
The Centre has an immediate opening for a Software Engineer who can Code and Test high end software products/services involving Web Technologies, Client-Server programming, Mobile applications, Hosted apps and Cloud Computing development. This engineer will work on POCs and products that will support advances in airplane communication networks, factory networks, aircraft and factory data acquisition and remote monitoring systems. Work will include design of software, coding, verification, deployment and validation.
This position will be located in the Boeing India Engineering and Technology Center, Bangalore, India, and will report to the Senior Manager, Systems and Analytics.
The selected individual will:

Work in a team involved in development of projects ranging from standard system software to data analytics. He/She will develop code in object oriented languages Java. He/She should be well versed in responsive web application development, mobile environments development and technologies such as Spring, XML, Apache Maven, Applications servers, virtual machines in remote environment. Should have experience in producing & consuming ReSTful APIs required. Candidate should have core web development expertise in JavaScript, Ajax, HTML5 & CSS3, and Bootstrap.

Define technical dependencies and dependency management strategy.

Align solutions with enterprise architecture strategy.

Create and maintain system architecture and design documentation.

Have strong interpersonal skills, quick-learning ability of new technologies, capable of working with minimal supervision.

Work closely with teams of engineers and computer scientists located in India and in the US. The selected individual will develop and maintain relationships/partnerships with Boeing stakeholders, peers, and partners.

Document results of research and development projects, and provide inputs for periodic updates to Boeing management in the form of progress reports, project summaries, and other related documents. Track and evaluate performance to ensure product and process
Desired Skills:

Should have developed code using object-oriented analysis and Java, J2EE.

Should be well versed in responsive web application development, mobile environments development and technologies such as Spring (Core, Boot, REST, JDBC, Security, AOP), XML, Apache Maven, Applications servers, virtual machines in remote environment.

Should have proficient in designing and developing using JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS & Node.js.

Should have Core web development expertise in JavaScript, Ajax, HTML5 & CSS3, and Bootstrap.

Good to have experience in developing interactive charts/graphs using Highcharts, HighStocks or D3.js. Exposure to Business intelligence tools like Tableau, Tibco Spotfire is preferred but not necessary.

Good to have experience in ORM technologies like Hibernate and RDBMS MySQL and SQL performance analysis and tuning. Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, HBase, and Cassandra is also good to have.

Experience in Linux based day to day activities.

Experienced in Agile methodology.

Must have experience working with cross-functional teams spread across multiple products and locations across different cultures and time-zones.

Demonstrate strong written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills. Be fluent in written and spoken English, and familiar with MS Office tools.

Be self-motivated and able to work independently with a positive attitude and highest ethics.

Must be willing to work flexible hours (early or late as needed) to interface with Boeing personnel around the world.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field OR Master of Computer applications or a related master’s degree

5 to 8 Years of experience in software development with projects that include Java Stack, Web Applications, Mobile applications.
