As Netflix continues to grow and expand, we are looking for another stunning colleague to join the EMEA Tax Team in Amsterdam. The position will report to the Director, EMEA Tax and will be working closely with the US and EMEA tax teams as well as the Government Relations team in Amsterdam.
The ideal candidate has a strong fit with Netflix values and culture, can collaborate well across the organization and has a hands-on mentality. This role will have a focus on technical tax planning and tax policy matters in EMEA. This role is positioned for growth as our business scales up. Relevant experience in the areas mentioned below will be a key when applying for the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with the Director, EMEA Tax and the EMEA Government Relations team on various tax policy matters in EMEA
  • Monitor international legislative developments (unilateral, EU and OECD) and provide technical guidance to internal stakeholders as to the impact of these developments for Netflix
  • Partner with the Director, EMEA Tax in representing Netflix in tax policy matters in international industry groups and provide commentary to position papers and public consultations
  • Act as an internal consultant for the Netflix global tax team (Provide technical analysis on various planning projects, Research complex tax issues and prepare technical documentation, Educate the global tax and other teams on international tax matters and developments)
  • Lead on certain projects, including but not limited to (bilateral) APAs and controversy matters, working closely with the EMEA and US tax teams and external advisors

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience (government, law firm or Big4 and/or industry)
  • University degree (Law or CPA equivalent) and/or advanced degree in Taxation
  • Excellent people skills
  • Excellent communication skills (fluent in English)
  • Deep technical international tax knowledge
  • Strong analytical capabilities and judgment
  • Relevant experience (valued extra) (Dealing with tax policy matters in EMEA (unilateral, EU and/or OECD), Working with/in (US) technology/entertainment sector, Tax issues relating to digital supply chains, Deep knowledge of BEPS, Project management, Managing controversy)
  • Hands-on/can do mentality
  • Ability to work proactively and independently with tight timeframes in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel (+/- 25%)
