The Role: Marketing Manager

The Location: New York, New York or Charlottesville, VA

The Grade: 11 (Internal Use Only)

The Role:Our product marketing managers are producers of key marketing campaigns that incorporate all aspects of the marketing mix to maximize impact and results. You will work under the direction of a marketing director, and in partnership with Product, Sales and RM Managers to craft and deliver the annual marketing plan and campaigns that incorporate all aspects of the marketing mix to maximize impact and results. This role will support these segments through multi-channel marketing efforts including email, digital, social, print and events. Day to day tasks include writing marketing copy and executing global initiatives that build brand awareness and generate demand for our data and solutions.

Your Skills: You will possess B2B marketing experience and demonstrate a keen interest in financial services. Strong written and presentation interpersonal skills are critical, as is the ability to be a strong individual contributor. Demonstrated ability to craft compelling product messaging and demonstrate the full complement of print and digital marketing channels. Familiarity with financial information platforms such as S&P Capital IQ or Market Intelligence is an advantage. Familiarity with Marketo and Salesforce is a plus.

Job Description:

  • Acts as a strategic partner to Sales, RM and Product team members to develop annual marketing plans and write / produce marketing collateral and campaign assets aligned to the business’ growth strategy.
  • Maintain a consistent understanding of our solutions and the competitive landscape to draft persona-based copy.
  • Build and manage web and social media content assets, and SEO and SEM programs.
  • Utilize Marketo to build email campaigns that reach target segments and nurture leads towards conversion.
  • Partner with events marketing to ensure events are appropriately staffed and reflect our brand; set and dedicatedly collect event return on investment metrics.
  • Partner within our divisions; identify alliances and opportunities to collaborate.
  • Leverage global content from internal leaders with vision and recommend new topics to enhance client and prospect engagement for our solutions.
  • Create and maintain an inventory of assets to be used for sales enablement and events.
  • Seek ways to improve key marketing metrics such as campaign response rates, event attendance rates, feedback scores, quality of leads, thought leadership awareness, new content/product/service introduction and adoption, and brand awareness building.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Marketing, Communications, Business or related field preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years in a marketing or communications role, or similar experience; B2B financial services experience a plus
  • Foundational understanding of the industries and markets covered by S&P Global Market Intelligence
  • Experience writing persona-driven messaging that clearly communicates solutions’ benefits
  • Experience demonstrating print, digital, social, and event channels to drive B2B marketing campaigns
  • Strong presentation skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills
