Role Summary:

Work Location: Budapest

As part of our growing Finance team, you will be an integral part of our Global Operations Center in Budapest, Hungary. As an Operational Controllership Manager, you will lead the Closing & Reporting Management team, responsible for the overall consolidation and closing process for the $20B Healthcare segment, ensuring complete and accurate consolidation of GE Healthcare’s financial results.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for the separation of the Healthcare segment as needed, specifically as it relates to the deconsolidation of the Healthcare segment from General Electric company;
  • Ultimate responsibility for the close & consolidation process for the $20B GE Healthcare segment’s 200+ company codes to ensure complete and accurate consolidation of financial results, including but not limited to compliance with US GAAP, GE GAP;
  • Lead the C&R Management team responsible for coordination of the regional closing and reporting activities: preparing the close calendar/communication, coordinating the edit checks for Europe and MENAT region, clear the DR90 (intercompany disconnects) to be able to submit the numbers to Global HQ by the deadline;
  • Managing the regional monthly/quarterly and annually submission of the data requests to Global HQ;
  • Preparing the reviewing the balance sheet for the consol ledgers;
  • Preparing the BTL (below the line) analysis for the Global HQ;
  • Managing FCM (Financial Close Management) tool sued to monitor the closing activities;
  • Managing the preparation and submission of the Rep letters;
  • Managing the wing-to-wing account reconciliation process and report weekly the progress of Unreconciled accounts to senior management;
  • Actively support and drive company initiatives impacting closing and reporting activities for the Healthcare segment, including the Corporate RASR implementation (Corporate ES HFM implementation);
  • Serve as a primary contact and support internal (CAS) and external audit projects for the Healthcare segment, including requests related to carve out audit related to the Healthcare separation;
  • Proactively identify potential risks & opportunities and communicate effectively. Interpret finance risks & opportunities to local circumstances & present workable solutions;
  • Team is responsible for managing the financial close (monthly, quarterly, annual) and ensuring that all the corporate submissions are done correctly and in a timely manner;
  • Reviewing the Account Reconciliation for the equity related accounts;
  • Co-ordination with business Finance stakeholders on closing activities and financial reporting routine.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance and/or equivalent experience
  • progressive accounting or finance experience;
  • Experience working in a global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner;
  • Clear thinking/problem solving: successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance functions; able to quickly grasp new ideas;
  • Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations;
  • Integrity: accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions and when dealing with others;
  • Confidence/Assertiveness: strong influencing skills;
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment;
  • Highly organized with demonstrated ability to meet commitments within strict deadlines;
  • Good computer Literacy: MS Office, particularly Excel;
  • Basic understanding of financial compliance: SOX, US GAAP, IFRS knowledge is also an advantage;
  • SSCHU.
