Achieves maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned market segment by selling the company’s products by effectively developing, negotiating and closing business relationships through consultative selling into global and regional financial services companies and FinTechs.
Promotes/sells/secures orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.
Demonstrates products and services to existing/potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers to generate new business for the organization’s products/services.
Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options.
Makes telephone calls, web meetings and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
Plans and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for prospects.
Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
Participates in trade shows and conventions.
Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications and competitors; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
Contributes to team effort by working collaboratively with all areas of the company to ensure long term success.
Skills and Experience:
10+ years overall sales experience, extensively in Banking and Financial Services
10+ years experience selling SaaS solutions or financial data/analytical solutions
5+ years selling strategically to C-Level within Fortune 1000 organizations
Experience with predictive data analytics a plus
Consistent over-quota performance and top tier company ranking
Stability – Proven history of being a top performer in a company for multiple years running
Highest level of professional courtesy, mutual respect, and ethics
Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach)
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
Strong Business Acumen – Bachelor’s Degree Required, MBA a plus
