The People team at Coursera is responsible for building our teams, retain our amazing talent, and developing programs that create community and promote employee betterment. You will find yourself in the epicenter of data mining relating to all things People, Talent, Workplace and Workforce planning and operations. You’ll converge on multiple organizational intersects to constantly observe, ask the right questions, gather information and develop hypotheses that can be tested and transformed into high impact, compelling solutions to help drive people-related business decisions. People insights are both a science and an art. You will have the ability to be innovative and stretch the boundaries of people analytics to support the acquisition, retention and optimization of Coursera’s #1 asset, its people.

Your responsibilities:

  • Advocate and drive a data mindset to enhance the critical thinking and problem-solving skills of Coursera’s Core People functions at scale (i.e. Total Rewards, Workforce Vision, Talent Acquisition & Employee Experience).
  • Communicate insights to key stakeholders and influence teams across organizations and geographies to take action based on your data driven recommendations
  • Build dashboards that convey insights and recommendations to support People and organizational decisions (i.e. compensation and benefits benchmarking, diversity metrics, and cost of labor/hire etc)
  • Improve the efficient and compliant utilization of data tools, recordkeeping workflows and People reporting processes and outputs
  • Take on special People Operations projects as needed by the business

Your skills:

  • 4+ years in a business analytics role, ideally in a technology company
  • 4+ years experience working with HR data
  • Experience with SQL/relational databases and business intelligence tools (e.g., advanced Excel, Tableau)
  • Strong ability to develop & present actionable insights to business partners and decision makers
  • Deeply analytical and can translate ambiguous problems into structured questions and hypotheses
  • Deep understanding of HR processes and systems (i.e. ADP, Workday, Ultipro, SAP)
