Job Description
As a Pharmacy Technician I – Dispensing, you will be responsible for all aspects of the filling of mail order prescriptions. The Pharmacy Technician is essential to ensuring medication has been filled correctly so it can positively impact the lives of others. The Pharmacy Technician position is responsible for manually filling, canister filling and channel filling with the automated machines. As a back end Pharmacy Technician, you get work directly with the medication and the filing of automated machines. Exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician in the pharmacy to excel in a complex, high impact dispensing role.

As part of the Back-End Pharmacy Technician team, you will play a crucial role in helping others on the path to better health and your work will be directly affect the lives of others.

Additional responsibilities of the Pharmacy Technician I – Dispensing include:

– Good written and verbal communication skills for interacting with all levels of staff

– Able to lift 25 pounds

– Able to use a 10 key pad

– Stand for the length of your shift

Required Qualifications
– Must have an active Pharmacy Technician registration in the state of IL, or apply for prior to day one of employment
– Must also provide the following as proof of application and pending license:

Paper Application Mailed (not preferred)

– Receipt that application was mailed “Certified” must be provided prior to starting and brought in on your first day of employment
– Copy of both sides of cancelled check with account and personal Information De-identification must be provided prior to starting and brought in on your first day of employment

Preferred Qualifications
-Formal Pharmacy Technician training
-Pharmacy Technician experience

Education
Verifiable High School diploma or GED required
