Principal Logistics Specialist

Shipping and Receiving Lead position in Qatar.

The Shipping and Receiving Lead will perform duties related to the receipt, inspection, storage, inventory and issue of all material, consumables, expendables, tools and equipment and modification kits required for the Qatar Patriot Depot Operations.

The Shipping and Receiving Lead will provide day-to-day execution and oversight of all logistical support tasks for the Qatar Patriot Depot Operations. Other specific duties include establishing and maintaining stock records and other documents such as inventory, materiel control, and account and supply reports. The S&R Lead establishes and maintains automated and manual accounting records, posts receipts and turn-ins; reviews and verifies quantities received against bills of lading, contracts, purchase requests, and shipping documents; unloads, unpacks, visually inspects, counts, segregates, palletizes and stores incoming supplies and equipment; maintains a stock locator system and administers document control procedures; packs, crates, stencils, weighs and bands equipment and supplies for storage or shipment; assembles bins, shelving and other storage aids; and operates material handling equipment (MHE). The lead S&R will conduct weekly/monthly/semi-annual/and annual trend analysis and feedback, resulting in program recommendations to the customer and end-user for sustainment improvements.

Must observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment. Perform other duties and activities as directed.

Basic Qualifications:

• A graduate of the Unit Supply Specialist (MOS 92Y) course or a graduate of a technical school or similar course of instruction or comparable experience
• Minimum of four (4) years’ experience with duties involving request, receipt, storage, inventory, issue, and accountability
• Minimum of four (4) year experience with the Automated Logistics Control System (ALCS) or similar Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software suite to include set up of job plans, tool storage, consumable & repair part storage, and reporting
• Have the ability to conduct data analysis and trend identification using ALCS software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Skills:

• Demonstrated basic knowledge of the Patriot Depot operations, modification, and system integration process
• Demonstrated experience with Contractor Logistics Support
• Demonstrated experience with environmental program compliance
• Strong interpersonal skills with special focus on achieving active participation of appropriate individuals across the business
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Previous experience in International Patriot FMS Programs
• Experience living and working in an overseas location
• Raytheon Six Sigma Certified

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in related field and at least 6 years of related experience. Experience can be substituted for educational requirements 2 years for every year of higher education. Must have at least 14 years of related experience without a degree.
