Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Operations, or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in indirect category management and/or strategic sourcing.
  • Experience with procure to pay systems/transformation and design.
  • Experience with the procurement contracting process.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master’s degree.
  • Experience with Google enterprise applications.

The Finance Operations team manages Google’s cash transactions on a global basis and ensures that Google’s incoming and outgoing cash processes are controlled, effective and efficient. As a member of this team, you’ll find innovative ways to manage our complex set of transactions. You thrive on making processes more efficient and scalable, you work to ensure the highest level of quality of our operations and you proactively minimize operational risk. Externally, you collaborate with our outsourcing partners and internally, you collaborate across the five areas of the Financial Operations team: Global Revenue Operations, Procure to Pay, Electronic Payment Services, Business Process Outsourcing, and Payroll.

In this role, you will help us, integrate data, systems and processes that will enhance how Googlers buy and pay for goods and services. As a Solution Design Lead for Sourcing and Contracts, you will partner with key stakeholders to lead and execute transformational activities focused on how Googlers identify, engage and buy from suppliers for indirect goods and services. Key categories of scope include Marketing, Professional Services, Construction/Real Estate, and IT services.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Design category specific buying processes, from supplier selection to contracting for indirect goods and services.
  • Develop business requirements to ensure that the procurement system transformation supports the buying process.
  • Provide industry expertise and insights on procurement best practices, specifically category management, contracting and buy channel optimization.
  • Work directly with the business to understand and streamline the buy in processes, achieving operational efficiencies to decrease end-to-end cycle times and drive demand through a consistent user experience.
