The Role: Product Manager – Agile and Portfolio Management Tools, Global Program Management Office

The Location: Hyderabad or Gurgaon

Grade: 12A

The Team: The S&P Global Program Management Office (PMO) is responsible for the project framework used to prioritize, execute and track projects and provides agile process governance to all S&P Global divisions. The Global PMO Tools team is responsible for developing and managing tools enabling Agile Execution, Project Portfolio Management and Reporting, for all the S&P Global Divisions.

Overall goal of the GPMO Tools Team is to develop and rollout a common global PMO tool set for all divisions to enable projects prioritization, resourcing, execution and reporting.

Responsibilities: In the day-to-day, you will own a tool or functional module(s) form the GPMO toolset. As the Product Manager, you will manage, develop and support stakeholders and users from all S&P Global divisions. You will be a facilitation hub for stakeholders from divisional PMOs, engineering and the end users. With your acute communication skills, you will be championing best practices and improving the delivery methods. Some of your areas of ownership will include:

GPMO Toolset Management and Support

  • As a Product Manager, manage assigned GPMO tool set, from end to end, including development, support, training and rollouts.
  • Lead large scale process and tool integrations across the division.
  • Create and manage product plans, product roadmaps, product backlogs, user stories and work with engineering scrum teams to rollout new enhancements.
  • Develop communications plan, deployment strategy and training materials to insure a smooth rollout and adoption
  • Working with key stakeholders, continuously identify and prioritize tool enhancements needed to maximize global process benefits
  • Support users on tools configuration, ad-hoc reporting requests, data requests and troubleshooting
  • Keep up to date on the current best practices on the assigned portfolio area and rollout best practices in new tools and processes
  • Measure and improve project execution via the Agile Scrum methodology

Program Portfolio Management

  • Establish partnerships with business unit leaders and provide visibility into actual IT investments.
  • Support the project peer review and company prioritization process.
  • For assigned business segments, partner with all functional groups for effective use of the PRB, CPP, Team Mapping, Agile Scrum, and Project Tracking processes.
  • Perform Project portfolio analysis, oversee project tracking and reporting.
  • Continuously help in improving PMO processes (PRB, CPP, Team Mapping and Execution) and facilitate key events
  • Oversee, measure, and improve project execution via the Agile Scrum methodology (day-to-day management is facilitated by Project Management)

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in business, technology, engineering or related area
  • 7 to 10 years of related work experience, with increasing responsibility
  • Demonstrable experience in facilitating, leading, influencing, and managing within large-scale matrix, globally distributed organizations
  • Prior Product Management, Go To Market and Product Support Experience
  • Good experience using one or more of the below tools:
    • Tableau
    • Agile scrum management tool, preferably Microsoft VSTS (Azure DevOps)
    • Workflow management tool
    • Project Portfolio Management Tool (e.g. PPM),
  • Prior experience as a Product Owner in the Agile framework is highly desired
  • Project portfolio management
  • Proven willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and an ability to work in a fast-paced, high demand work environment
  • Highly organized, independent and multi tasker
  • Good data analysis, ad-hoc reporting and analytics skills using Excel and Tableau
  • Excellent written and oral communication is must and excellent presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of any scaled agile framework
  • Experience in the financial services sector preferred
