The Product Manager (PM) will be responsible for the development and execution of mission critical strategies and tactics that ensure optimal positioning, demand, utilization, launch and overall growth of neratinib in the U.S. This role requires tactical, operational, organizational, problem solving, communications, and project management skills. Strong results orientation and a sense of urgency to get things done are critical.  This professional is a disciplined risk-taker that embraces innovative approaches, and is comfortable in an entrepreneurial and growing commercial organization.  The PM must be creative and adaptable to unique and changing situations, be goal-oriented, know how to set aggressive, achievable targets, and motivate internal cross-functional teams.

Essential Functions

  • Supports the development and execution of the educational strategic and tactical plan for physician education. Including but not limited to:
    • Speaker bureau development (including vendor RFP and selection process)
    • Speaker bureau management
    • KOL identification and tracking
    • Speaker training
    • Slide Deck development
  • Contributes to the organization and synthesis of the tactical launch plan including but not limited to all areas of responsibility, i.e. speaker bureau, etc.
  • Partner with other commercial departments as the Marketing meetings and conventions lead; represent marketing at all conference planning meetings, contribute to strategy and ensure alignment to brand goals
  • Partner with medical affairs by leading operational initiatives, including but not limited to:
    • Congress and event planning
    • Onsite congress support and leadership
    • KOL management and outreach
      • Strategic identification, development and coordination of HCP interactions
  • Proactively evaluates/assesses the relevant market landscape, monitoring changes in market dynamics, competition, clinician and patient practices and needs, as well as other related factors
  • Support and manage internal and external cross-functional groups as well as external vendors to insure integration and consistency of professional business strategies and regulatory compliance of materials
  • Operate quickly and decisively in a fast-paced, demanding launch environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position regularly requires long hours and may require weekend work.

Travel

Travel is required (up to 35%).

Education & Professional Experience

  • Minimum of Bachelors, preferably in life sciences or business
  • MBA, strongly preferred
  • >3+ years of pharmaceutical product marketing experience
  • Must have strong planning and organization skills.
    • Ability to interact with customers – KOLs, patients and advocacy groups

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Pre-launch and/or launch experience
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting Pharmaceutical Products
  • International experience
  • Strong communication, collaboration, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with and managing multiple external agencies including market research, advertising, digital, external and internal partners

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This position requires significant use of a personal vehicle to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the role. As a result, Puma Biotechnology will from time to time check your motor vehicle record for purposes of determining your eligibility for driving any vehicle on company business.   Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., however, working on a weekend may also be required.
